New Delhi, March 7The Ramjas College violence and rape threats to Lady Shri Ram College student Gurmehar Kaur rocked the Delhi Assembly today. The ruling AAP played Gurmehar’s video clip in the House in its bid to target the ABVP and the BJP-led Central government.AAP MLA Alka Lamba said the case was yet another example of how students were being targeted for speaking their mind. “Her fault was that she raised her voice against the RSS goondaism,” she said.Leader of the Opposition Vijender Gupta’s objection to the playing of the video were overruled by Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel. When asked, a senior official of the Assembly said, “The Speaker had watched the clip in advance and found nothing objectionable.” Last year, AAP minister Kapil Mishra had played an audio recording on his phone in the House about an alleged case of snooping.

PROTEST AGAINST TRANSACTION FEES AND DECREASING RATE OF INTEREST ON OUR DEPOSITS.April 6th,24th, 25th, and 26th 2017 as “no transaction days” with Banks.

There is a PROTEST AGAINST  TRANSACTION FEES AND DECREASING RATE OF INTEREST ON OUR DEPOSITS.
Let the banks also experience the public power. They are thieves. Imagine . To withdraw your own money you have to pay service charge to the Bank and you pay Service Tax on the Service Charge to the Govt.
To this end we will observe  April 05,06,07 of 2017 as a “no transaction day with banks”.
If they don’t rollback. Let’s further keep April 24th, 25th, and 26th 2017 as “no transaction days” with Banks. We will continue this until there is no roll back on service charges.
We can also plan out in such a way that we do our important transactions on the days preceding these days. PRESUME that these days are listed “Bank Holidays”!
Keep spreading this message every 5 days to all ur FB , mails and W App contacts.
It is difficult but not impossible. Or else banks will keep on adding various  new charges every now and then. RBI Governer is a puppet and has no control nor does he understand the economics.

This protest is for our benefit to force banks to rollback all new charges.
Let’s come together and show the POWER OF UNITY.

Lance Naik Roy Mathew

New Delhi, March 3

A “sting operation” by a website is being blamed for having triggered a series of events that led to suicide by Lance Naik Roy Mathew, 33.Posted at Devlali, near Nashik, he was found dead yesterday in an abandoned barrack at the military station which is the artillery centre of the Army. He had been missing since February 25 and was being treated as “absent without leave”. (Follow The Tribune on Facebook; and Twitter @thetribunechd)Mathew’s battalion is presently on field firing practice in Rajasthan and he formed the “rear party” — some soldiers staying back at “other designated stations”.A press note said the probe revealed the death “may be a result of the series of events triggered by media personnel managing to videograph the deceased by asking leading questions on his duties as a buddy (‘sahayak’) without his knowledge”. The video has been removed from the website. It was “very likely”, said the ministry, that the “guilt factor of letting down his superiors or conveying false impression” pushed him over the edge. The Army has denied that Mathew was questioned after the video; as the soldier’s face was masked, so he could not be identified. But sources say he did send a one-word SMS to an officer saying “sorry” last Saturday. The soldier’s family approached the police as his phone had been switched off since February 25.  — TNS

Jammu/Poonch, March 14

After targeting the LoC Trade Centre at Chakan da Bagh in Poonch on Sunday, the Pakistani army rained mortars on it again on Monday. One shell landed on the building situated near the LoC in Poonch on Sunday and four shells struck it on Monday, which damaged the roof of the administrative block. The Pakistani army used 80 mm and 120 mm mortars to target the trade centre. The Indian Army retaliated in an equivalent manner. The shelling has frightened employees as well as locals.“Since the trade centre has been targeted, employees as well as local residents are living in deep fear. The shelling has halted the trade as no truck crossed the LoC today. We tried to resume the trade by taking a truck up to the LoC but there was no response from the Pakistani side,” said Tanvir Ahmed, Trade Facilitation Officer at the Chakan da Bagh Trade Centre, Poonch. From Tuesday to Friday, around 100 vehicles from the Indian side cross over to the Pakistani side daily while 40-50 trucks enter India. Though there are 21 items on the list of trade, these days fresh fruits and spices are being exchanged between the two sides. The tension has also led to the suspension of cross-LoC bus service ‘Rahen Milan’ for a week. It will be resumed only after the situation improves, Ahmed said.

27 LAWS OF MILITARY OFFICIALDOM

After intense painstaking ruminations on life’s most recent experiences, I now consider these 27 under listed as the laws that can guarantee a serviceman not just an illustrious career, but also an accident-free officialdom in any military.
1. Your rifle and your ammo are more important than your life. Better be dead than lose them.
2. You can never be the winner in any argument with your superior. Even when you have won.
3. Every commander needs your advice but not in public.
4. If there is a competition, don’t come first, and don’t come last.
5. Your soldiers are the backbone of your work. Treat them well.
6. If you offend a higher authority, carry your cross.
7. If your soldier offends a higher authority, carry his cross.
8. Remember that to get to the top you not only have a modicum of smartness and intelligence but must be the most loyal one.
9. Don’t be deceived. Many commanders do not like eye service.
10. Never “contest” a woman with your superior. It is the fastest way to die and many have gone that way.
11. The wife of your superior is either a goldmine or a landmine. If you are not sure of which she is, avoid her.
12. Be brave. Even if you are a coward.
13. If your superior admires your girlfriend, surrender her. If he admires your wife, stand by her. A girlfriend is an accolade. An accolade can be lost without dire consequences. Your wife is your crown. You are nothing without her.
14. Don’t ever beg for mercy. It is the foremost manifestation of weakness and the military environment has no respect for weaklings.
15. Don’t ever solicit for “welfare”. If you are “issued”, be very thankful.
16. Don’t look for your seniors. Let them look for you. If they look for you, don’t keep them waiting.
17. If you don’t like a colleague, let him know you don’t like him. If he takes steps to warm up to you, don’t embrace him. Accommodate him.
18. A lie is an abomination – and a critical part of initiative.
19. If you are lucky to have stumbled on “mega” money, maintain your old lifestyle. If you can’t maintain your old lifestyle, maintain a low profile. Camouflage and concealment are not only for the warfront. “Shine” is one reason things are seen.
20. Remember that drinking, smoking and womanizing are prominent features of the job yet, no medals are allocated for them.
21. Don’t look too smart before your superiors. Instead, look stupid before them. People are generally comfortable with stupid people whom they can easily control.
22. Wait for your time.
23. Know that the enemy’s degree of training is dependent on yours. If he is well trained, then, you are poorly trained. If he is poorly trained, you are well trained.
24. You are a soldier. Not a priest.
25. If you are tired of the job, resign.
26. Never reject a gift from a superior except in protest of a salient point. It is the greatest indirect show of disloyalty.
27. Be everywhere. Every time.

New Delhi, March 2
The Navy on Thursday successfully conducted the maiden firing of an anti-ship missile from the first of the indigenously built Kalvari class submarines, during a test firing in the Arabian Sea.
The missile successfully hit a surface target at extended ranges during the trial firing, held in the morning. This missile launch is a significant milestone, not only for the Kalvari, which is the first in a series of Scorpene class submarines being built in India, but also in enhancing the Indian Navy’s sub-surface warfare capability.
(Follow The Tribune on Facebook; and Twitter @thetribunechd)

All six Kalvari class submarines being built in India will be equipped with this anti-ship missile, which has a proven record in combat. These missiles will provide the submarines the ability to neutralise surface threats at extended ranges.
