Srinagar, June 11

A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.

The gunfight erupted when the joint forces launched a cordon and search operation in Pathanpora area of the district after an input about militants’ presence.

Police said both JeM militants escaped after firing and throwing grenades.

One pistol and six magazines of AK rifles were recovered from the area, they said
