Last year, for the first time, the then UT adviser Vijay Dev had cancelled the event due to differences between him and the then administrator Kaptan Singh Solanki. As per practice, the function is organised on both Independence Day and Republic Day at the UT guest house by the adviser in the afternoon. The governor hosts “At home” in the evening. Due to rain, arrangements were made at the lawns of the Raj Bhawan.
