War of words between Capt Amarinder Singh and Gen JJ Singh gets further heated up with the General hitting back at the ex-Chief Minister for questioning the former’s credentials.General JJ Singh said Capt Amarinder Singh was going to lose both Lambi and Patiala (Urban) seats, following which he had become frustrated and is issuing ridiculous statements.Notably after the General met city residents and expressed displeasure over not keeping up their promise of voting for him, Captain Amarinder Singh had termed the act as “shameful and disgusting.”Capt Amarinder said he had faced many a vile opponent in his political career but none who could stoop to such appalling lows.

JJ Singh’s behaviour, said Captain Amarinder, was embarrassing for anyone who had lived an Army career, where “we are all taught to be humble and inspiring people by leadership.”Reacting to the statement, the General said Captain Amarinder should stop showing fake sympathy with Patiala residents. He said: “In just 40 days, I have covered each and every street of Patiala and people have given me immense love. However, Captain came to the constituency only twice in these days and now he is trying to pretend as if he was their biggest well-wisher.

After serving as the Chief of Army Staff and Governor, I have decided to serve Patiala and he cannot stop me from fulfilling my commitment,” said the General.About pulling up the local Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP leaders time and again, General JJ Singh said anyone who does not follow the party ideology and tries to run away from his duty needs to be taught a lesson. They would be taught discipline for the betterment of the party as well as the state, said General JJ Singh.
