Jalandhar, March 9

Delhi University student and Jalandhar-based girl Gurmehar Kaur, who was recently trolled on social media by many, including actor Randeep Hooda and cricketer Virender Sehwag, seems to be in no mood to relent.Though she had earlier said she was withdrawing from her campaign, with her new tweet early this morning she took a dig at both cricketer and the actor. She tweeted a clarification given to the media by Hooda on the issue yesterday while also mocking at him, “I didn’t tweet my hands did.” Hooda had reportedly told the media on International Women’s Day yesterday that he was not aware who the girl was and that he should have been careful with his message. He had earlier called Gurmehar a “political pawn”.The daughter of martyr Capt Mandeep Singh has even hit out at Sehwag, who had posted a picture in Gurmehar style with a message, “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did.”It was after this post that her critics and trollers had begun ridiculing her, sending her hate messages and even giving her rape threats. Her trollers had taken on her for her message from a year-old video, “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war did.”By the evening, there were as many as 1,600 re-tweets and 2,500 likes on her post with supporters terming it as a “comeback” and “bravo reply”, while her detractors calling it “misuse of new stardom” or “another provocation”.Gurmehar was trolled following her post in which she had criticised the ABVP on Ramjas College violence.
